Money Making
Ironman AIO has four money makers you can add from the Money Making section of the Activities tab: Eclipse Reds, Agility Pyramid, Security Stronghold and Sell Smithing Products. Add one like any other task, fill in the amount, and the script works through it in rotation with the rest of your plan.
You often don’t need to add one yourself. With Earn coins when a task runs short turned on, the script picks a money maker by itself whenever a quest or skill can’t afford what it needs. See Running short of coins below.
| Task | Members | Requirements | GUI input |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eclipse Reds | Yes | Children of the Sun | Amount |
| Agility Pyramid | Yes | 30 Agility (60+ recommended) | Amount |
| Security Stronghold | No | None (food below 35 Hitpoints) | None |
| Sell Smithing Products | No | The items to sell | Item, Quantity to sell or Sell all |
Eclipse Reds
Section titled “Eclipse Reds”Collects eclipse reds from their spawn in Varlamore, then sells them to Antonius at the Moonrise Brewery in Aldarin.
Requirements: membership and Children of the Sun. Without them the task waits, for example with “Eclipse Reds need membership.”
GUI input: Amount is the number of eclipse reds to collect and sell.
What it does:
- Walks to the spawn near the Hunter Guild and climbs to the top floor of the building.
- Picks up the eclipse red each time it appears. When none is on the ground, it hops to another world.
- When the inventory is full, it banks the reds and comes back.
- Once it owns the whole amount, it banks for the reds (as notes) and 20 to 200 coins for the trip.
- Walks to the Moonrise Brewery and sells the reds to Antonius in batches of 50, 10, 5 or 1, depending on how many are left.
Reds you already own count toward the amount, so it only collects what’s missing.
What it spends: at least 20 coins for the trip to Aldarin. If you don’t own 20 coins, it reports a coin shortage (see Running short of coins).
Done when: the full amount has been sold. Progress is saved per task, so a restart picks up where it left off. Changing the amount starts the count again.
Agility Pyramid
Section titled “Agility Pyramid”Runs the Agility Pyramid in the Kharidian Desert for pyramid tops and hands them to Simon Templeton for coins.
Requirements: membership and 30 Agility. The GUI recommends 60+, since you fail fewer obstacles. Without them the task waits, for example with “The Agility Pyramid needs membership.”
GUI input: Amount is the number of pyramid tops to trade in.
What it does:
- Banks for 1,000 to 5,000 coins, any pyramid tops and choc-ice you already own (up to 24, so there’s still room for a Shantay pass and a pyramid top). It wears your desert robe, desert shirt and desert boots, plus a graceful hood, gloves and cape if you have them.
- Buys desert gear from Shantay if you’re missing any of the desert robe, shirt or boots, along with a full waterskin and a Shantay pass. It needs at least 50 coins for this.
- Buys choc-ice from Rokuh in Nardah whenever it has fewer than 5. It needs at least 40 coins and leaves two inventory slots free.
- Talks to Simon Templeton the first time, to unlock the course.
- Runs the course, climbing the rocks next to Simon, doing each obstacle in turn and taking the pyramid top from the peak.
- Trades tops to Simon once it carries a few (each account has its own number, at least 2), or as soon as it’s down to fewer than 5 choc-ice.
It eats when Hitpoints run low. If Hitpoints fall to 15 or below (or half your maximum, whichever is lower) and it has no food, it waits for them to come back up before going on. Empty waterskins are dropped.
What it spends: coins on choc-ice, the Shantay pass and any desert gear you’re missing. If you don’t own 1,000 coins when it banks, it reports a coin shortage.
Done when: it has traded in the number of tops you set. The count is saved across runs and resets if you change the amount.
Security Stronghold
Section titled “Security Stronghold”Opens the reward chests on the first three floors of the Stronghold of Security, under Barbarian Village. Each chest only pays out once per account.
Requirements: none, and it works on free-to-play accounts. Below 35 Hitpoints you need at least 8 food between your bank and inventory. Without it, the task waits and says how much food it has, while the script works on other tasks.
GUI input: none.
What it does:
- Banks for the best melee armour you own (helm, body, legs, boots, gloves, cape and shield) and fills the rest of the inventory with food. Below 35 Hitpoints it also takes 10 to 20 coins if you have fewer than 10 food.
- Buys kebabs from Karim in Al Kharid when you’re below 35 Hitpoints, own fewer than 10 kebabs and have coins. It buys until it carries 10 food.
- Takes Count Check’s teleport to the Stronghold if you start in Lumbridge and haven’t used it yet. Otherwise it walks there.
- Opens the chests in order: the Gift of Peace on the first floor, the Grain of Plenty on the second, then the Box of Health on the third. It answers the warning prompt on the ladder down to the third floor.
It eats at 70% Hitpoints (80% if your maximum is 15 or lower). If your Hitpoints level is 30 or lower and it runs out of food, it goes back to the bank.
Done when: all three chests have been opened, and only then. The fourth floor isn’t part of this task.
Sell Smithing Products
Section titled “Sell Smithing Products”Sells platebodies and platelegs you’ve already made to the shop that pays most for them. It doesn’t smith anything. To make the items, add a Smithing task first.
Requirements: none, and it works on free-to-play accounts. You need the items in your bank or inventory.
GUI inputs:
- Item: the item to sell (list below). You can add this task several times, once per item.
- Quantity to sell: how many to sell. It has to be more than 0.
- Sell all: sells every one you hold in your bank and inventory. The quantity box goes away when this is ticked.
| Item | Sold to |
|---|---|
| Bronze platebody, Iron platebody, Steel platebody, Mithril platebody, Adamant platebody, Rune platebody | Horvik in Varrock |
| Bronze platelegs, Iron platelegs, Steel platelegs, Mithril platelegs, Adamant platelegs, Rune platelegs | Louie Legs in Al Kharid |
What it does:
- Withdraws the items from the bank as notes (with Sell all, it checks the bank first to see how many you have).
- Walks to the shop and sells them one at a time.
- After 5 sales on one world, it hops to another world to sell at fresh prices.
It always keeps one if that item is your best melee body or legs, or if you’re wearing it.
If world hops keep failing (3 times in a row), it sets the sale aside for 20 minutes while other tasks run. If you’re also short of coins (under 10,000), or nothing else can run, it sells the rest on the current world instead.
Done when:
- With a quantity: once it has sold that many. If you run out before then, the task waits for more (other tasks keep running) and tells you how many it still needs.
- With Sell all: once nothing is left to sell after the bank check.
Progress is saved per task across runs.
Running short of coins
Section titled “Running short of coins”Many quests and skills buy things: shop supplies, boat fares, runes, tools. When one of them can’t afford what it needs, it doesn’t stop the script. It reports the shortage, and the script decides what to do.
The setting that controls this is Earn coins when a task runs short, under Preferences → Account → Money Making. It’s on by default.
When it’s on, the script:
- Sets the task aside and works out a coin goal. That’s the total the task said it needs (bank plus inventory). If the task didn’t say, it’s what you own now plus 10,000. Some tasks that spend coins in batches ask for enough for a whole batch, so they don’t run short again a few minutes later.
- Picks the best money maker this account can do right now and runs it. It shows up in your task list under Money Making, with your coins against the goal.
- Goes back to the task once you own the goal amount. If it’s in the middle of a Tempoross game, it finishes the game first.
When it’s off, or when no money maker can run, the task waits while your other tasks carry on. It comes back once you own enough coins. If nothing else can run, the script stops and tells you why.
Which money maker it picks
Section titled “Which money maker it picks”It always starts with the best tier you qualify for. Within a tier, each account has its own lasting preference, so different accounts don’t all pick the same one.
| Tier | Money maker | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| High | Wealthy Citizens (Thieving) | 50 Thieving, Children of the Sun |
| High | Agility Pyramid | 30 Agility |
| Medium | Wintertodt | 50 Firemaking |
| Medium | Tempoross | 35 Fishing |
| Medium | Aldarin Chests (Thieving) | 36 Thieving |
| Low | Security Stronghold | Unopened Stronghold chests |
| Low | Eclipse Reds | Children of the Sun |
| Lowest | Pickpocket Men | — |
Everything except Security Stronghold needs membership. On a free-to-play account, Security Stronghold is the only choice, and only until all three of its chests are open.
A few details about how they run as a fallback:
- Wintertodt and Tempoross claim their rewards every 3 to 5 games instead of saving them all for the end. Tempoross also opens its reward caskets for the coins.
- Wealthy Citizens trades in 100 to 300 valuables at a time.
- Eclipse Reds collects enough reds to cover what you’re short, at 700 coins each and no more than 50 per batch. If you’re still short after selling them, it starts another batch.
- A fallback money maker never touches the progress of the same task in your plan. For example, its pyramid tops don’t count toward a planned Agility Pyramid task.
When it switches or gives up
Section titled “When it switches or gives up”It drops a money maker for the rest of the session and moves on to the next best one when:
- It earns no coins for 30 minutes (60 minutes for Eclipse Reds, Wintertodt and Tempoross, where coins only come in at sales or reward claims). Time spent logged out, on a break or on other tasks doesn’t count.
- You skip it from the sidebar.
- It can’t run any more, for example all the Stronghold chests are open.
- It runs short of coins itself, such as the Agility Pyramid without 1,000 coins for supplies.
If no other money maker can run, the waiting task stays set aside while the rest of your plan continues.
For carrying coins and paying for supplies in general, see Money.
