Farming
Ironman AIO has three Farming methods:
- Herb Runs plants your herb seeds on every herb patch you can reach, harvests them, and keeps itself in supercompost by filling compost bins.
- Bagged Plants buys bagged plants in Falador and plants them in your house garden.
- Tithe Farm plays the Tithe Farm minigame in Hosidius and can spend the points on Farmer Gricoller’s rewards.
To add a task, pick Farming in Setup, set a level range (From and To), choose a method and fill in its options. Every method needs membership: on a free-to-play account the task waits with “Farming needs membership”.
| Method | Farming level | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Herb Runs | 9 (guam) | Membership, herb seeds, supercompost or the fruit to make it |
| Bagged Plants | 1 | Membership, coins for the plants, and for a house if you don’t have one in Rimmington |
| Tithe Farm | 34 | Membership, a few coins for tools |
Herb Runs
Section titled “Herb Runs”What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Waits for a run. Herbs take about 80 minutes. A run starts when every patch you can reach is ready, or when most of them are and the rest are within 20 minutes of it. The script remembers each patch’s timer between sessions.
- Banks. It takes a spade, plus your rake, seed dibber, magic secateurs and plant cure if you own them. It takes one seed and one bucket of compost per patch on the run, a teleport for the patches it has one for, all of your air, water, earth, fire and law runes, and a quarter of your coins.
- Visits each patch. It goes to the nearest due patch first, then the others in an order each account keeps to. At each patch it picks the herbs, cures a diseased patch, clears dead herbs, rakes weeds (and drops them), adds compost and plants a seed.
- Cleans and notes herbs. Grimy herbs are cleaned if your Herblore level allows. The clean herbs are given to the Tool Leprechaun to note them, so the inventory never fills up mid-run.
Between runs the task looks after compost (see below) and the rest of your plan carries on. When nothing else in your plan can run, the script logs out and comes back for the next herb run. The paint shows when the next run is due.
Patches
Section titled “Patches”| Patch | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Falador | Membership |
| Ardougne | Membership |
| Catherby | Membership |
| Hosidius | Membership |
| Civitas illa Fortis | Children of the Sun |
| Morytania | Priest in Peril |
| Farming Guild | 65 Farming |
| Troll Stronghold | My Arm’s Big Adventure |
| Weiss | Making Friends with My Arm |
The Herb dropdown chooses the seed:
- Auto plants the highest-level herb seed you own and can plant.
- A named herb (Guam through Torstol) only ever plants that herb.
The task only plants seeds you already own; it doesn’t buy or gather seeds. With no plantable seeds it waits, and starts again when seeds turn up in the bank. Seed levels:
| Seed | Level | Seed | Level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guam | 9 | Avantoe | 50 |
| Marrentill | 14 | Kwuarm | 56 |
| Tarromin | 19 | Snapdragon | 62 |
| Harralander | 26 | Cadantine | 67 |
| Ranarr | 32 | Lantadyme | 73 |
| Toadflax | 38 | Dwarf weed | 79 |
| Irit | 44 | Torstol | 85 |
A rake or seed dibber you don’t own is bought from Sarah’s farm shop south of Falador. When a patch is diseased and you have no plant cure, it buys one there too.
Compost
Section titled “Compost”Herb runs only plant with supercompost or ultracompost, one bucket per patch. If you have none, the run waits until a compost bin is ready. The task makes its own supercompost:
- Bins. It uses the compost bins next to the Catherby, Falador, Ardougne, Hosidius and Morytania patches (15 fruit each), and the Farming Guild’s big bin (30 fruit) once you can use that patch. A bin takes about 90 minutes.
- Fruit. It fills bins with watermelons and calquat fruit from your bank first, then pineapples. Pineapples are bought from the Trader Crewmember nearest the bin (Catherby, Port Sarim, Port Khazard, Port Piscarilius or Port Phasmatys); this needs at least 75 coins. The Farming Guild bin only takes banked fruit, and only once you own 30.
- When. Each account has its own refill point between 20 and 50 compost. Below it (counting compost already growing in bins), the task fills more bins. Ready bins are emptied until you own 100 buckets. It buys buckets from Sarah when it has none to empty a bin with.
- During runs. If there’s room in the inventory, a run also takes the fruit or buckets for a bin on its route and fills or empties it on the way.
When it’s done: when you reach the To level.
Bagged Plants
Section titled “Bagged Plants”Plants bagged plants in your house garden, at 31 Farming XP each.
- Plan. It works out how many bagged plants your goal needs, minus the ones you own.
- Coins check. Before buying anything, it checks you can pay for all of it: the plants, a house if you need one, and un-noting the plants at Phials. If you can’t, the task is skipped.
- House. If you don’t own a house, it buys one from the estate agent in Falador (1,000 coins). If your house is somewhere else, it moves it to Rimmington (5,000 coins).
- Buy. It buys the plants from the Garden supplier in Falador. They cost about 1,000 coins each and get dearer as the shop’s stock drops, so it hops worlds to buy more. It buys three watering cans from Sarah if you don’t own them.
- Garden. It fills the watering cans at the Rimmington sink, un-notes the plants at Phials in Rimmington (5 coins each), enters the house in building mode, builds the plant in the garden, removes it and repeats.
It banks at Falador East, next to the Garden supplier, and doesn’t use jewellery or other item teleports on its bank trips.
When it’s done: when you reach the To level, or when it’s skipped for lack of coins.
Tithe Farm
Section titled “Tithe Farm”Plays the Tithe Farm minigame in Hosidius. It needs 34 Farming; the task waits until you have it.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”- Tools. It brings a seed dibber, a spade and watering cans, or Gricoller’s can if you own it. Missing tools and cans are bought from Sarah’s farm shop south of Falador.
- Gear. It wears Graceful and boots of lightness where you own them, and leaves other gear in the bank. The farmer’s outfit isn’t worn here, even if the task bought it.
- Seeds. It takes the best seed for your level from the seed table: Golovanova from 34, Bologano from 54, Logavano from 74. It takes enough for one run that reaches your goal or the next seed tier, whichever comes first, plus one spare round.
- Rounds. Inside the farm it plants on a fixed route, waters each plant three times, harvests the fruit and refills its cans at the water barrel. It drops the fertiliser the farmer hands out. Before each round it waits until it has enough run energy for the whole round.
- Ending a run. It deposits the fruit in sacks of 100 and leaves the farm once the fruit covers the goal or the next seed tier, or the seeds run out. Then it starts a new run.
- First visit. It tells Farmer Gricoller it’s an expert, so he doesn’t ask again.
Options
Section titled “Options”Method sets the planting route:
| Option | Plants per round | Watering cans |
|---|---|---|
| 23x method (default) | 23 | 9, or Gricoller’s can |
| 20x method | 20 | 8, or Gricoller’s can |
| 16x method | 16 | 6, or Gricoller’s can |
If your plants die on one route, try the next smaller one.
Run until decides when the task is done:
- Level: trains to the To level, then spends the points on the ticked rewards.
- Rewards: runs until the points cover every ticked reward, then buys them. There is no level range for this choice.
- Level and rewards: runs until both are met, then buys the rewards.
Rewards are Farmer Gricoller’s shop items:
| Reward | Points |
|---|---|
| Farmer’s strawhat | 75 |
| Farmer’s jacket (or shirt) | 150 |
| Farmer’s boro trousers | 125 |
| Farmer’s boots | 50 |
| Gricoller’s can | 200 |
| Seed box | 250 |
| Herb sack (needs 58 Herblore) | 250 |
| Auto-weed | 50 |
| Herb box | 30 each |
| Seed pack | 30 each |
Nothing is bought while the task is training. Once the goal is met, it buys the ticked rewards you don’t own yet, then spends the points left over on herb boxes and seed packs (split evenly if both are ticked). It banks the herb boxes it buys, then the task ends. With Rewards or Level and rewards, you must tick at least one reward other than herb boxes and seed packs.
When it’s done: when the Run until goal is met and the rewards are bought. A run in progress is always finished, with the fruit deposited, before it leaves.
