Cooking

Ironman AIO trains Cooking by cooking the raw food in your bank at a range or fire. It doesn’t catch or kill for food itself, so plan a Fishing or combat task first to fill the bank. The one exception: a fresh account with nothing to cook buys raw sardines to get started.

To add a task, pick Cooking in Setup, set a level range (From and To), choose Auto-progress or Select food, and pick a Location.

  • Banking. Each trip banks everything else and fills the inventory with one kind of raw food. Cooked and burnt food goes into the bank on the next trip. Burnt crab meat is dropped instead.
  • Cooking. At the range or fire it uses Cook and cooks the whole inventory in one go.
  • Cooking gauntlets. If you own cooking gauntlets, it wears them. If you’re cooking lobster, swordfish, monkfish, shark or anglerfish, have finished Family Crest and own steel gauntlets but no cooking gauntlets, it wears the steel gauntlets and asks Caleb in Catherby to change them into cooking gauntlets (free). If he asks for 25,000 coins (the gauntlets were already changed by one of his brothers), it says no and cooks without them.

When it’s done: when you reach the To level, or when you run out of raw food it can cook. Running out marks the task as skipped and the plan moves on.

Cooks whatever raw food you own from the list below. Each bank trip takes the lowest food on the list that you own and have unlocked, so it uses up your low-level fish before moving to better ones.

Starts cooking at Food
1 Shrimps, anchovies, sardine
13 T-bone steak
20 Trout
21 Red crab meat
40 Salmon
50 Tuna
60 Lobster
70 Karambwan (needs Tai Bwo Wannai Trio)
75 Swordfish
82 Monkfish
94 Shark
97 Anglerfish

Most of these levels are higher than the level you need to cook the food. Karambwan waits for 70 because it keeps burning until 99. Other foods (meat, chicken, herring, mackerel, pike, bass, sea turtle, dark crab, manta ray) are only cooked with Select food.

Starter sardines. Below 20 Cooking, if you own none of the foods Auto-progress can cook, it buys raw sardines from Gerrant’s Fishy Business in Port Sarim. It buys enough to reach your target level (up to 20) plus about half as many again for burns, 27 at a time, and banks each load until it has them all. Then it cooks them. If you don’t have the coins, the task is treated as out of raw food.

Cooks one food you choose until the target level. The picker shows every food as a tile, fish first, then meat, with the level each one needs. Food you can’t cook yet stays in the list, greyed out, with what it’s waiting on.

Fish Level Fish Level
Shrimps 1 Karambwan 30 (Tai Bwo Wannai Trio)
Anchovies 1 Lobster 40
Sardine 1 Bass 43
Herring 5 Swordfish 45
Mackerel 10 Monkfish 62
Trout 15 Shark 80
Pike 20 Sea Turtle 82
Salmon 25 Anglerfish 84
Tuna 30 Dark Crab 90
Manta Ray 91
Meat Level
Meat, Chicken, Rat Meat, Bear Meat 1
T-bone Steak 13
Red Crab Meat 21

The task doesn’t start until you have the food’s level (and Tai Bwo Wannai Trio for karambwan). It never switches to another food.

The Location dropdown chooses where to cook:

Location Requirement
Any (per account) Each account settles on one of the spots below that it can use, the same every run.
Al Kharid Stove None
Lumbridge Stove Cook’s Assistant
Catherby Stove Membership
Tempoross Fire Membership
Hosidius Stove Membership
Varlamore Stove Membership, Children of the Sun

The list shows every spot, including members spots and ones the account can’t use yet, so you can plan ahead. If the spot you chose can’t be used when the task runs, the account uses its own pick among the spots it can use until yours unlocks.

  • Fishing: the Collect method can cook its catch once it has the amount you asked for.
  • Red crab meat comes from Hunter’s crab trapping.
