Thieving
Ironman AIO has six Thieving methods, from pickpocketing men in Lumbridge to robbing houses in Civitas illa Fortis. Each method starts at its own Thieving level, so a full climb is usually several tasks in a row, or one Any (per account) task that switches for you.
To add one, pick Thieving in Setup, set a level range, choose a method and, where offered, a Location. Every method ends when you reach the To level. Thieving needs membership: on a free-to-play account the task waits with “Thieving needs membership.”
| Method | Thieving level | Other requirements | Location options |
|---|---|---|---|
| Men | 1 | None | Lumbridge |
| Cakes | 5 | None | Ardougne, Kourend |
| Fruit Stalls | 25 | None | Hosidius |
| Aldarin Chests | 36 | None (a lockpick from 50 Thieving and 50 Agility) | |
| Master Farmers | 38 | Food in the bank | Farming Guild, Hosidius North, Hosidius East, Ardougne, Varlamore, Quetzacalli Gorge |
| Wealthy Citizens | 50 | Children of the Sun |
The Location dropdown starts with Any (per account), which lets each account settle on its own spot. A task below its method’s level waits until you reach it.
What every method does
Section titled “What every method does”- Outfit. Each bank trip wears the rogue outfit pieces you own, graceful in the other slots, and your best Ardougne cloak in the cape slot.
- Eating. It eats when your health gets low. Pickpocketing stops while you’re stunned.
- Coin pouches. Pickpocketing gives coin pouches. The script opens them once you carry a set number, picked at random between 5 and 28 and picked again after each opening. Pouches can’t be banked, so any left over are opened before the bank.
Methods
Section titled “Methods”Pickpockets men and women in Lumbridge.
- Bank. It banks everything, then fills the inventory with food, leaving two slots free. It banks again when the inventory fills up or the food runs out.
- No food? If the bank has no food and you have at least 10 coins, it buys up to 10 kebabs in Al Kharid (1 coin each).
Steals from the baker’s stall in Ardougne or Kourend.
- What it keeps. Cakes are banked and also eaten as food when your health gets low. Chocolate slices are dropped. Bread is dropped once you own 10 or more. Each account has its own habit for when it drops these: as they come, or once the inventory fills.
- Guards. If something attacks you, it runs to a safe tile away from the stall and comes back once it’s there and nothing is attacking you.
- Bank. When the inventory is full of cakes and bread, it banks them.
Fruit Stalls
Section titled “Fruit Stalls”Steals from the fruit stalls in Hosidius.
- What it keeps. Cooking apples, bananas, strawberries, jangerberries, lemons, redberries, pineapples and limes are dropped when the inventory fills. Everything else from the stall is kept, and it banks once fewer than 8 slots are free.
- Other players. If another player is stealing within a few tiles of the stall, it hops to another world.
Aldarin Chests
Section titled “Aldarin Chests”Picks the locks on the chests upstairs in Aldarin, Varlamore.
- Bank. It takes your coins (at least 25, for travel) and your lockpick if you own one. It banks when the inventory is full, and drops spinach rolls to make room.
- Short of 25 coins? It reports a coin shortage, so the script earns the coins with a money maker or sets the task aside until you own them. See Money.
- Lockpick. From 50 Thieving and 50 Agility on a members account, it buys a lockpick from Martin Thwait in the Rogues’ Den if you don’t own one. If you have fewer than 200 coins for it, it first pickpockets men in Lumbridge until you do.
- Other players. If another player is at the chests, it hops to another world.
Master Farmers
Section titled “Master Farmers”Pickpockets master farmers for seeds.
- Bank. Each trip takes 8 to 12 food and your seed box if you own one. The task is skipped while you have no food at all.
- Junk seeds. It drops potato, onion, cabbage, tomato, nasturtium, rosemary, woad, marigold, redberry, cadavaberry and dwellberry seeds once your bank already holds 10 of that seed. Each account has its own habit for when it drops them: straight away, once the inventory is full, or once a few kinds have piled up. Every other seed is kept and banked.
Location:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Any (per account) | The Farming Guild from 45 Farming. Below that, each account picks its own spot from the others it can use. |
| Farming Guild | Needs 45 Farming. Uses the guild’s master farmer for your Farming level (45, 65 or 85). |
| Hosidius North, Hosidius East, Ardougne | No requirements. |
| Varlamore, Quetzacalli Gorge | Need Children of the Sun. |
If the spot you chose can’t be used yet, it uses the Farming Guild if you can, or another spot otherwise.
Wealthy Citizens
Section titled “Wealthy Citizens”Pickpockets wealthy citizens in Civitas illa Fortis, then uses the house keys they drop to rob houses. You need Children of the Sun and 50 Thieving. Without Children of the Sun the task waits with “Wealthy Citizens needs Children of the Sun.”
Step by step:
- Bank. It takes your valuables, blessed bone shards, your chisel, house keys and any blessed bone statuettes. It doesn’t need coins. If you own no chisel, it gets one, such as the chisel that spawns in Civitas illa Fortis; only then does it take coins along, in case it buys one.
- Pickpocketing. It waits by Aurelia and only pickpockets citizens who are distracted near her.
- Houses. Once you carry the number of house keys you set, it moves to the houses of Lavinia, Victor and Caius. It picks a house whose door is locked, waits for the owner to wander off, lets itself in, and searches the house. When the owner comes back or the inventory fills, it leaves through the window. It keeps going until the keys are used up, then goes back to pickpocketing.
- Statuettes. Blessed bone statuettes are broken down with the chisel into blessed bone shards (useful for Prayer).
- Selling valuables. Once your valuables reach the sell target, it takes them to the Dodgy character and trades them in to Oriana for coins.
Options:
- House keys before houses (default 20) is how many keys it collects before it starts on houses. Set it to 0 to only pickpocket citizens.
- Sell valuables range (Min to Max) sets when valuables are sold. Each time it picks a random target inside the range, sells once you own that many, then picks a new target. Set both to 0 to never sell.
- Sell all valuables at goal (on by default): once the level is reached, it takes every valuable you own from the bank and sells them all to Oriana before the next task starts. When your plan has another Wealthy Citizens task with a higher goal, it keeps the valuables for that one. The task card shows “Sell at goal” while this is on.
Any (per account)
Section titled “Any (per account)”Any (per account) climbs through the methods with switch levels picked per account:
| Stage | Method |
|---|---|
| To 5-9 | Men |
| To 25-32 | Cakes |
| To 50-58 | Fruit Stalls |
| After that | Wealthy Citizens, or Fruit Stalls without Children of the Sun |
Each account gets its own switch levels and spots, the same every run (see Account seeds). The last stage uses Wealthy Citizens only when Children of the Sun is done or in your plan; otherwise it stays on Fruit Stalls to your goal.
