Prayer
Ironman AIO trains Prayer two ways: Blessed Bone Shards at the Teomat’s libation bowl in Varlamore, and the Ectofuntus in Port Phasmatys. Both spend bones you own. You also choose where the bones come from: your bank, or blue dragons that the task kills for you until it has enough.
To add one, pick Prayer in Setup, set a level range, choose the method, then the Bone source and the Bones to use. Under the bone choice, the editor shows an estimate such as “about 1,200 dragon bones as shards at the libation bowl”. It counts from your current XP, and bones you already own count first.
| Method | Requirements | Coins |
|---|---|---|
| Blessed Bone Shards | Membership, Children of the Sun, 30 Prayer | 10 per bone exchanged, 1 per jug of wine |
| Ectofuntus | Membership, The Restless Ghost, Priest in Peril | Buckets of slime and pots |
Both methods are members-only, so on a free-to-play account the task waits, for example with “Ectofuntus needs membership”.
How the plan works
Section titled “How the plan works”Every Prayer task keeps a live plan of the XP your owned bones are worth, counted in every form: noted or not, bonemeal at the Ectofuntus, blessed bones and loose shards at the libation bowl. The plan spends bones in this order:
- Loose blessed bone shards (libation bowl only).
- Bones already part way through the method (bonemeal, or blessed bones) of any kind.
- Raw bones of the kinds you selected, lowest XP first.
It stops once the plan reaches your target level. Bones the goal doesn’t need stay in the bank for later tasks, and bank trips only withdraw the bones the plan spends.
The task opens your bank first so the plan counts every bone before it does anything else.
Bones it uses
Section titled “Bones it uses”| Bone | XP each at the Ectofuntus | Shards each | XP each at the bowl |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big bones | 60 | 12 | 60 |
| Wyrmling bones | 84 | 21 | 105 |
| Baby dragon bones | 120 | 24 | 120 |
| Wyrm bones | 200 | 42 | 210 |
| Strykewyrm bones | 240 | 37 | 185 |
| Dragon bones | 288 | 58 | 290 |
| Wyvern bones | 288 | 58 | 290 |
| Drake bones | 320 | 67 | 335 |
| Lava dragon bones | 340 | 68 | 340 |
| Frost dragon bones | 400 | 84 | 420 |
| Hydra bones | 440 | 93 | 465 |
| Dagannoth bones | 500 | 100 | 500 |
| Superior dragon bones | 600 | 121 | 605 |
Ordinary bones aren’t on the list, so neither method uses them. Superior dragon bones are only planned from 70 Prayer. Each shard is worth 5 XP at the bowl.
Bones to bless / Bones to grind. All bones (the default) plans with every bone type you own, lowest XP first. Pick one bone to use only that kind.
Bone sources
Section titled “Bone sources”Banked bones
Section titled “Banked bones”Trains with the bones you already own. When none are left (or, for Blessed Bone Shards, no coins for the wine and bone exchange either), the task is skipped and the script moves on. It comes back on its own once other tasks have gathered bones it can use. There is no Grand Exchange for an ironman, so it never plans to buy bones.
Blue dragons
Section titled “Blue dragons”Kills blue dragons for dragon bones until the dragon bones you own (plus anything else in the plan) reach the goal, then trains. It finishes the dragon trip first: it picks up the last drops and leaves the cave. With this source, Bones offers only All bones or Dragon bones.
The dragon trips work like Blue Dragons in Combat: membership, an anti-dragon shield (the task gets one if needed), food, and Range or Magic gear and supplies. The extra options are:
- Combat style: Range (default) or Mage.
- Dragon location: Any (per account), Dragon Nest (Tal Teklan), or Heroes’ Guild Dungeon (needs Heroes’ Quest). Saved tasks that say “Corsair Cove Dungeon” load as Dragon Nest (Tal Teklan).
- Loot blue dragonhide (on by default). Turn it off to leave the hides.
- Telegrab loot (needs 33 Magic and law runes) picks the loot up with Telekinetic Grab. It needs at least 10 law runes, plus air runes or an air staff, or the coins to buy them.
- Allow Lundail’s Wilderness rune shop for law runes (with Telegrab only) lets it buy law runes at the Mage Arena’s rune shop in the Wilderness.
While it gathers, the dragon trip isn’t cut short by task rotation.
Methods
Section titled “Methods”Blessed Bone Shards
Section titled “Blessed Bone Shards”Turns bones into blessed bone shards and offers them at the libation bowl in the Teomat, Varlamore.
What you need: Children of the Sun and 30 Prayer to use the bowl, a chisel (it gets one if you have none), and coins. The task waits below 30 Prayer.
Step by step:
- Bank. It takes your coins, your loose shards, the chisel, and the planned bones as notes. If you have blessed bones left in the bank from an earlier trip, it takes one kind of them too.
- Exchange. It uses the noted bones on Virilis and picks “Exchange all”, paying 10 coins a bone. It only does this when the coins cover a full inventory or all the bones left.
- Bless. Unnoted bones are blessed at the altar beside Virilis.
- Break down. It breaks the blessed bones into shards with the chisel.
- Wine. One jug of blessed wine covers 400 shards. If you have fewer jugs than your shards need, it takes coins from the bank and buys jugs of wine from the Bartender for 1 coin each, then blesses them at the same altar.
- Offer. At the libation bowl it fills the bowl with blessed wine and offers the shards. If your prayer points drop below 2, it restores them at the prayer shrine nearby.
- When the shards or the blessed wine run out, it goes back to the bank for the next round.
Blessed bones you already own are broken down even without coins, since that only needs the chisel. Raw bones need at least 10 coins for the exchange. With no coins at all, it offers the shards using the wine you already own, then waits for coins the way it waits for bones.
Libation mode: AFK clicks the bowl once and waits for the round to finish. Spam keeps clicking while shards and wine remain.
Ectofuntus
Section titled “Ectofuntus”Grinds bones into bonemeal and worships the Ectofuntus in Port Phasmatys. Each bone gives four times its burying XP.
What you need: membership, The Restless Ghost and Priest in Peril, and coins for buckets of slime and pots. You don’t need any ecto-tokens to start, since worshipping earns them.
Ghostspeak amulet. The task wears one. If you don’t own one, it asks Father Urhney for a new one first (banking first if the inventory is full), then banks to wear it.
Step by step:
- Bank. It wears your ghostspeak amulet and takes any ecto-tokens you own (for the Port Phasmatys gate). Then it takes the next bone in the plan, up to 9 at a time, with a pot and a bucket of slime for each. If you already own bonemeal, it takes up to 14 bonemeal with slime instead.
- Supplies. If you own fewer buckets of slime and pots than the plan’s bones need, it takes coins and buys them from the Trader Crewmember at the Port Phasmatys charter ship.
- Grind. It loads each bone into the grinder upstairs, winds it and empties the bonemeal into a pot.
- Worship. It worships the Ectofuntus with each bonemeal and bucket of slime.
- Ecto-tokens. Worshipping earns ecto-tokens. It collects them from the Ghost disciple when it has nothing left to worship, when you reach your goal, or straight away if the toll gate says you don’t have enough tokens.
If the grinder still holds a bone from before, it finishes that bone first.
When it’s done
Section titled “When it’s done”When you reach your target Prayer level. At the Ectofuntus it collects any ecto-tokens still waiting before it stops. If you run out of bones first, the task is skipped as described under Banked bones and comes back when there are more.
