Membership

Ironman AIO is built mostly around members content, but a free-to-play account can still use a good part of it. If membership runs out during a run, the script finishes the free-to-play tasks it can, then ends.

On a free-to-play account

What works

  • Free-to-play quests: Below Ice Mountain, Black Knight’s Fortress, Cooks Assistant, Demon Slayer, Doric’s Quest, Dragon Slayer I, Ernest the Chicken, Goblin Diplomacy, Imp Catcher, Pirate’s Treasure, Prince Ali Rescue, Romeo and Juliet, Rune Mysteries, Sheep Shearer, Shield of Arrav, The Corsair Curse, The Ides of Milk, The Knight’s Sword, The Restless Ghost, Vampire Slayer, Witch’s Potion and X Marks the Spot. The quest browser in Setup has an F2P filter.
  • Free-to-play skills. Methods built around members content (Wintertodt, Tempoross, Guardians of the Rift, the Arceuus Library and so on) still need membership.
  • Activities: Security Stronghold, Sell Smithing Products, Collect Ironman Armor, Collect Food, Buy Runes, and Kill NPC For Items on hill giants or Monks of Zamorak.

What changes

  • Members quests and members activities are blocked, usually with “Requires membership.” Every quest that can’t start says why. Members activities include Rogues’ Den, Fishing Trawler, both easy diaries, Eclipse Reds and the Agility Pyramid. The script runs the rest of the plan and ends when only blocked tasks are left.   • Members skills and methods wait the same way, with a reason such as “Agility needs membership.”: Agility, Construction, Farming, Fletching, Herblore, Hunter and Thieving, plus Wintertodt, Tempoross, Guardians of the Rift, the Arceuus Library (Magic and Runecrafting), Giants’ Foundry, Gem Rocks, Motherlode Mine, Sandstone, Calcified rocks, Blessed Bone Shards, Ectofuntus, Glass blowing and Bow strings.
  • Fishing on Auto keeps fly fishing past 50 instead of moving to Tempoross.
  • A few quests take a free-to-play route with extra requirements. Dragon Slayer I needs 30 Mining and 34 Smithing on a free account, and The Knight’s Sword needs 15 Mining and 15 Smithing unless you tick Collect F2P iron bars in Wild. See Quests.
  • Gear: only free-to-play items are worn. See Gear and loadouts.
  • Lamps: members skills aren’t offered as lamp targets. X Marks the Spot’s lamp goes on Crafting by default instead of Slayer. See Lamps and rewards.
  • Money: Security Stronghold is the only money maker that runs on a free account. See Money.
  • Escape crystal: it can’t be bought on a free account. With Always carry an Escape crystal on and none owned, the script stops and asks you to turn the option off.
  • World hopping only picks free worlds.

A members account on a free world

When a members account is on a free world, the script hops to a members world before carrying on. (A Shooting Stars mining task is the exception, since it chooses its own worlds.)

When membership runs out mid-run

The usual sign is a login after a logout break that lands on a free world, after which members areas can’t be reached.

  1. The script notices that the account is no longer a member. It waits 30 seconds to be sure, because membership reads as unknown for a moment after each login.
  2. Members tasks stop being picked. Free-to-play tasks in your plan carry on as normal.
  3. A task that gets stuck (nothing happens for the Same-tile stop time) is skipped instead of stopping the script, since without membership a stall usually means members-only content the task couldn’t tell apart.
  4. A members money maker that was earning coins is dropped too.
  5. When nothing else can run, the script ends with: “Out of membership: finished every free-to-play task that could run; 4 members task(s) left.” (with your own count).

Which tasks count as members-only in this mode:

  • members quests;
  • members skills;
  • skill methods built around members content, such as Wintertodt, Tempoross, Guardians of the Rift, the Arceuus Library, the Abyss, blessed bone shards, gemstone crabs, chaos druids, blue dragons, Eclipse reds, Blast Furnace and the Agility Pyramid;
  • every activity except Security Stronghold, Sell Smithing Products, Collect Ironman Armor, Collect Food, Buy Runes, and Kill NPC For Items on hill giants or Monks of Zamorak.
